Splurge or Save #001

I've had my eye on this Topshop blouse for a good while now, it's been sitting in the 'notebook' section of my app since before Christmas but has never made it's way into the land of checkout. And that's because of two reasons. Firstly whenever I have tried to buy it or plucked up the courage to part with a bank bashing £38, it's sold out. And secondly, when I finally saw it peeking out from the 'last chance to buy' section in store it looked nothing like the picture. The wrap over 'drape' sagged and looked pretty unflattering. The material was outrageously thin and see through, and for that kind of money I just couldn't justify buying it.
However today I went into one of my local charity shops purely out of boredom and found this little tee which I thought looked awfully similar to the blouse!

Top - Charity Shop £2.50
High Waisted Shorts - Topshop
Belt - Vintage
Fringed Bag - So old I have no idea!
Necklaces - Rings and Tings/ Topshop
I would have tried this on but as the temperature is an icy -1 and I currently can't feel my toes I thought I would just show what I might wear it with in sunnier times. Finds like these make me glad I never forked out for the real deal, I'm pretty happy with this cute little tee and at a fraction of the price I really can't wait to wear it. Hurry up summer!

  5. well done! you created an adorable look (but better, if the quality of the topshop top wasn't so good), for WAY less money than you expected you'd have to - always an achievement.
